Mission Statement
My last post was a glossary of foundational concepts developed as a basis for this chapter of my own world building. Inspired by Virgil. Read that here.
My practice is centered on the idea that cultural forms like design and strategy are methods of taste-making which can be a catalyst for social change. Reality is expressed through culture, creating a vision for our highest, most enduring values. My goal is to develop an immersive lifestyle brand presented as a utopian narrative that explores the duality of the feminine principle.
Defining a clear point of view for my consulting work. Full deck here.
The brand is built in three parts as a niche, self-sustaining ecosystem rooted in specialized craftsmanship (model). This model supports the notion of the merchant class as disseminators of culture through the sharing of ideas and trends. Merchants play both a social and economic role in society by establishing their own networks for buying, trading, and selling. Craftsmen as stewards of artistic tradition and indicators of social change.
Thinking about how all of this builds into an ecosystem. Full deck here.
All of this expressed in this fantasy about womanhood on an alien island on planet Venus. The connection between the feminine principle and Venus represents a spirit of play and pleasure. Themes deduced from folklore, religion and psychology. Venus: goddess of love, beauty, strategy and the arts who seduces with her magnetism.
What would happen if women on the planet Venus lived in a society where their only purpose was to live out the cycle of chaos to creation repeatedly in their own lives in order to power the planet?
